Grange Big Local appoint Mobilise to take it to the next level  


Following a competitive recruitment process, a Grange Big Local resident panel has appointed Mobilise Public Ltd to support volunteers in delivering the remaining parts of the Getting Started Phase of The Grange Big Local.  This includes supporting a team of local volunteer ambassadors to spread the word about Big Local, finalising the community profile and assisting in the development of a partnership and plan to guide its direction, in line with Local Trust requirements.  


Mobilise is a social purpose business created to reshape the relationship between citizens and their public services and the team for the Grange will be Micah Gold and Lara Hayes. Its founders and associates have worked with communities and local authorities both as practitioners and consultants.


Micah Gold, Mobilise’s Director, said:

As a local resident and parent at Martin School, I’m excited about bringing our skills and experience to the East Finchley community and helping Grange Big Local on its journey.”


Big Local is an opportunity for residents in 150 areas around England, including the Grange Estate and surrounding areas in East Finchley, to use £1 million to make a lasting positive difference to their communities. It’s about bringing together all the local talent, ambitions, skills and energy from individuals, groups and organisations who want to make their area an even better place to live. Big Local is being run by Local Trust, which is working with £200m from the Big Lottery Fund and a range of partners providing expert advice and support for residents.
