Grange Big Local Annual General Meeting

Sunday 5th June 2016, 4.30pm

Ann Owens Centre

Residents of the Grange Big Local area in East Finchley and other friends are invited to our first Annual General Meeting that will take place on Sunday 5th June 2016, 4.30 to 6.30pm at the Ann Owens Centre, Oak Lane, East Finchley, N2 8LT.

The Grange Estate and neighbouring areas in East Finchley, including the Font Hills and Thomas More estates, have been awarded a lottery grant of £1 million through Local Trust's Big Local initiative. This is an exciting and unique opportunity for residents of N2 to make a massive and lasting positive difference to our communities and make an even better neighbourhood!

A meeting agenda (subject to change) is found here.

At the AGM, a new board of up to 17 people will be elected. The Board must comprise a minimum of nine resident members and a maximum of six volunteer members to serve for the next year. They will retire at the next AGM but may stand for re-election.

Friends of Grange Big Local who live, work or volunteer in the Grange Big Local area may stand for election to the Board. Election will be by those who have completed a ‘Registration as a Friend of Grange Big Local’ form whose membership is ratified.

If you would like to attend the Annual General Meeting please complete your details here.

If you would like to put yourself forward to join the Grange Big Local Partnership Board, please also complete your details via the above link and we will get in contact with you.

Note

Residents of the Grange Big Local area are eligible to become Friends of Grange Big Local.  People who work or volunteer in the area may also apply to become Friends of Grange Big Local.  The Board may decline applications if they believe it is in the interest of the Grange Big Local Partnership.

Every resident in the Grange Big Local Area is eligible to be a member. To become a member an eligible person is required to become a Friend of the Grange Big Local Partnership and have their contact details added to the database maintained by the Board. In addition, people with appropriate connections to the area (a local volunteer or worker) may apply to become a Friend. These applications (for residents and volunteers) will be approved by the Board but formally ratified at the AGM by the existing members at which point voting rights will be given.

The membership shall elect the Board at the AGM to direct Grange Big Local activities.
